June 2 Comment letter on Lyons-owned University Industrial Park Tentative Subdivision Map. The Planning Commission withdrew the item for further study.

July 7 Comment letter on the Lyons request for a permanent encroachment permit to build an irrigation and drainage pipeline adjacent to the distribution center site. Sadly, City Council voted 6-1 to approve the encroachment permit despite clear evidence that the item violated City Municipal Code and the California Environmental Quality Act.

August 21 Comment letter on the Atwater-Merced Expressway Final Environmental Impact Report argues that the FEIR is deficient and must be recirculated because it doesn't analyze the climate change impact of increased traffic and conflicts with policies in the City of Merced General Plan. The Atwater Elementary School District also submitted a letter about their students' air quality and quality of life concerns if the AME passes 30 feet from a planned elementary school.
